Tell us a little about yourself, why you chose your career path
I am from Northern Ireland and after finishing school, moved to London to begin my studies as a degree apprentice student in marketing as part of the Pearson College London Professional Pathway programme. 7 years working in marketing (So far)... I enjoy every aspect of marketing and with Daniel and the team at the Sustainability Champions it is so enjoyable being able to collaborate with such an inspiring team. Selecting a career in marketing, it was always my intention to work with amazing businesses like this and it is a real privilege to be part of this team.
What is your role at Sustainability Champions, and why do you love working here?
My role is to look at those environmental issues which are impacting our planet and with our Copywriters create insightful pieces for our readers and with our Social Media Manager to create engaging content and further grow our audience reach.
As Marketing Lead here at the Sustainability Champions I am involved in every aspect of the marketing.
What song best describes your work ethic?
Easy! Huey Lewis & The News… Workin For A Livin.
Tell us one Sustainability Champion you admire and why?
There are so many! That’s why Daniel started Sustainability Champions… to have a place to showcase their stories. For me, people like Victoria and Stephanie (Founders of Damm Plastic) or Maxim Gelmann (Mr Stroodles of Stroodles Eco Tableware) are amazing. Also people like Daniel Webb (Founder of Everyday Plastic) or Hugo Tagholm (Founder of Surfers Against Sewage) are inspirations! There are too many to pick just one.
What's one thing you've changed about your lifestyle lately in the name of sustainability
Gradually changing to a fully vegetarian diet (Stay tuned to see how that turns out).
If you could be the best in the world at something, what would it be?
The next Arnie… First Mr Olympia, then acting, followed by a short stint as Governor of California…
If you were famous, what would your stage name be?
Like Seal or McLovin… just one name… Peter.
